A significant and solemn event that recently unfolded at the Sanctuary Our Lady of Good Counsel, in Shkodër. Ambassador Stefano Palumbo, the Counsellor, Mr. Massimo Fantechi, and the First Secretary, Mr. Stiven Shala, had the honor of attending a special memorial Mass dedicated to Blessed Gerard, the revered founder of the Order of Malta.

The sacred ceremony, held under the guidance of Archbishop of Shkoder – Pult Angelo Massafra with the Rector of the Sanctuary Our Lady of Good Counsel Father Artur Jaku and Don Antonio Leuci, brought together the community to pay homage to the legacy of Blessed Gerard. The Founder of the Order of Malta, Gerard established a foundation rooted in compassion, service, and humanitarian principles, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the Catholic Church.

The ceremony was attended by local authorities, the staff and the volunteers of the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta, and the catholic community of Shkoder.
