In a significant event marking the feast day of Our Lady of Good Counsel, the Sanctuary Our Lady of Good Counsel in Shkodër has been officially conferred the esteemed status of a minor basilica by papal brief. This momentous recognition from the Vatican is a milestone for the sanctuary and its faithful community.

Just last October, the sanctuary hosted another poignant occasion, the special memorial Mass dedicated to Blessed Gerard, the founder of the Order of Malta, in a ceremony presided over by Archbishop of Shkoder – Pult Angelo Massafra, alongside the Rector of the Sanctuary Our Lady of Good Counsel, Father Artur Jaku.
