Malteser Youth Germany started its week-long visit to Albania on the day the Catholic Church celebrates Palm Sunday. After the Holy Mass, Ambassador Stefano Palumbo together with the Archbishop of Tiranë-Durrës, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj, welcomed the young German volunteers in the archiepiscopal curia of St. Paul’s Cathedral in Tirana.

After welcoming speeches by the Archbishop and the Ambassador, the Malteser Youth Germany took part in the reception offered in their honour to celebrate the start of a journey to discover the Order of Malta’s volunteer activities in Shkodër and Lezhe.

Among the distinguished guests present were the Consul General of Italy in Vlora, Mrs. Iva Palmieri, accompanied by the Vice Consul Antonio Rapisardi, Knight of Magistral Grace of the SMOM, and the Honorary Consul of Malta in Albania, Mr. Tomë Preku.

Ambassador Palumbo and Archbishop Dodaj actively engaged with the young people, exchanging ideas and perspectives in a lively debate rich in spiritual reflection.
