The Ambassador of the Order of Malta in Tirana met the President of the Regional Council of Berat, Mr Donald Molishti, on 22 March 2024, during his trip to export the knowledge of the Sovereign Order to the heart of southern Albania on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states.

The courtesy visit allowed a convivial exchange of information on the Order of Malta’s reality in northern Albania and around the world and focused on possible actions in the south of the country and especially in the magnificent city of Berat, which has remained intact in its historical and artistic splendour over the centuries.

The meeting was also attended by the Consul General of Italy in Valona, Ms Iva Palmieri, accompanied by the Vice Consul Mr Antonio Rapisardi and the Consular Correspondent of Italy in Berat, Mr Vladimir Cela.
