On 22 January, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Albania Stefano Palumbo attended the enthronement ceremony of the new Archbishop of Tirana-Durrës.

With profound regret the Grand Magistry announces the death of Fra’ Matthew Festing, 79th Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, who has died today in Malta at 71. He served as Grand Master until January 2017.
With profound regret the Grand Magistry announces the death of His Most Eminent Highness the Prince and 80th Grand Master Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, which took place in Rome on 29 April following an incurable disease diagnosed a few months ago.

At the request of Ambassador Palumbo , the CISOM team composed by Alberto Clerici and Alessandro Martini, participated in the meetings held in the offices of the Port of Durres to explore possible collaborations between CISOM, the Albanian Organization of the Order of Malta and the Port.
