In a gesture of diplomatic goodwill, the Ambassador of the Order of Malta in Albania, Stefano Palumbo, together with the Embassy Councillor Massimo Fantechi and First Secretary Stiven Shala recently undertook a courtesy visit to extend his congratulations to the newly appointed mayor of Shkoder.
In a landmark event that brought together diplomats and officials, the Consulate of Italy in Vlore, Albania, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta, organized a conference to commemorate the World Order of Malta.
Albania joined the global celebration of the World Day of the Order of Malta with remarkable events held in two cities—Shkodër and Lezhë. The inaugural celebration saw dedicated groups of volunteers, including nurses and doctors, offering free medical check-ups at three different sites, making a significant impact on the local communities. The initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of the community, promoting the spirit of service that defines the Order of Malta.
A significant and solemn event that recently unfolded at the Sanctuary Our Lady of Good Counsel, in Shkodër. The Ambassador and the diplomatic staff had the honor of attending a special memorial Mass dedicated to Blessed Gerard, the revered founder of the Order of Malta.
The Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Albania, H.E. Stefano Palumbo, was appointed by HRH Crown Prince Leka II of the Albanians to the Royal Order of Skanderbeg, with the dignity of Grand Officer.
On June 26, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Republic of Albania, H.E Stefano Palumbo, and his wife Valérie hosted the annual reception on the occasion of the Solemnity of St. John the Baptist, Patron Saint of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
