Ambassador Stefano Palumbo met the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, upon his invitation to the Town Hall for a meeting aimed at getting to know in more detail the activities of the Order in Albania and in the world, and to explore together possible convergences of activities. During the meeting the Ambassador congratulated the Mayor on the continuous and visible progress that the capital had during his mandate crowned with international prizes for urban planning.

The Mayor explained to the Ambassador a positive outlook of slow but in his opinion inevitable progress towards joining the EU. At the end of the meeting the Mayor donated a reproduction of the Tower of Tirana, the symbol of the Albanian capital, as a sign of esteem and willingness to collaborate together.
