In the splendid setting of the church of San Salvatore in Lauro in Rome, under the protection of Our Lady of Loreto, H.E. the Grand Prior of Naples and Sicily Fra’ Niccolò Custoza de Cattani met with H.E. Most Rev. Msgr. Arjan Dodaj, Metropolitan Archbishop of Tiranë-Durrës, Conventual Chaplain “ad honorem”.

The meeting carries forward what emerged during Monsignor Dodaj’s visit to H.E. the Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo a year ago at the Magistral Palace, namely, the desire to create an organization that brings together Albanian members of the Order and volunteers with the aim of being able to establish, in future years and when appropriate, a National Association.

The meeting was attended by a number of friends of the Order of Malta including Maurizio Bettoja, Raniero Salvaggi, Andrea La Spina della Cimarra, Fabio Adernò, Guglielmo Giovanelli Marconi, Msgr. Giorgio Lenzi, Fr. Nuno Castello Branco Bastos, Fr. William Barker with Fr. Brice Meissonnier, and Msgr. Pietro Bongiovanni, parish priest of the Church of San Salvatore in Lauro.
