On November 15, H.E. Stefano Palumbo, Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Albania, and Mr. Stiven Shala, First Secretary, visited the esteemed Father Pjetër Meshkalla High School in Shkodër. They were warmly welcomed by Sister Valentina Ndreca, the school director, and Jesuit Father Marino Riti.
During the visit, the delegation explored the school’s facilities, experiencing firsthand the vibrant educational environment. They engaged in discussions about the school’s rich history, its role in Albanian education, and its current efforts to provide high-quality, inclusive education to its students. Founded in 1877 by Jesuits, Father Pjetër Meshkalla High School, named after the Jesuit martyr of the Communist era, is a cornerstone of Shkodër’s educational and cultural heritage. As part of the “Gesuiti Educazione” Foundation, the school is committed to delivering a well-rounded education that combines academic rigor with human and formative excellence. With its modern facilities and dedicated staff, the school exemplifies the Jesuit ideal of shaping the leaders of tomorrow through holistic learning.
