On 26 June, Ambassador Stefano Palumbo continued the cycle of institutional visits in Southern Albania, meeting the Mayor Flamur Golemi and the President of the Regional Council Dino Selimi in Gjirokaster. Accompanied by Madame Consul General of Italy in Vlora and Vice Consul Antonio Rapisardi, the two meetings were particularly fruitful and positive and were part of the Ambassador’s programme of institutional visits to the main cities in Southern Albania on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The meeting with the Mayor and the President of the Regional Council of Gjirokastra, as well as the visit to the Xhuzepe Gras Centre, represented an opportunity for dialogue and discussion on the possibilities of cooperation in the field of welfare, cultural and social activities.
