On 28 November, H.E. Ambassador Stefano Palumbo, accompanied by Counsellor Stiven Shala, attended the official reception hosted by H.E. the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, on the occasion of Albania’s National Day and the 113th anniversary of Independence.

The ceremony brought together senior state authorities, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and distinguished guests to honour this pivotal moment in Albania’s history.

In his address, President Begaj conveyed heartfelt congratulations to all Albanians and highlighted the nation’s continued progress over the years. He underlined the collective responsibility to uphold the legacy of the country’s founders and to advance together towards a future of stability, prosperity, and full European integration.

Ambassador Palumbo expressed appreciation for the invitation and reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Albania and the Sovereign Order of Malta, particularly in the humanitarian and social fields.
